General
Definitely! We have mostly first-timers and beginners as well as intermediate surfers. ConsciSea camp is the best place to start and progress.

Yes, of course! If you bring a friend and get an extra 5 % discount.
For legal reasons, the minimum age for participating in the camp is 18 years. However, if you are an adult traveling with a minor, then it is possible for your kid to join us.
Don't ya worry amigo! English is the main language of communication at the camp. We know - from experience - that this is no problem at all; and not even for those who can barely speak English. Every briefing is given in English. Most of our crew & instructors are also multilingual, so if you have questions, you can always ask them in your language of choice. We try to motivate everyone to talk as much English as possible so that you can work on your English skills in a great environment.
Last season the average age was 25-45 years. The minimum age for participating in the camp is 18 years*. You are only as old as you feel!

We will send you a comprehensive packing list prior to your trip. These are things we recommend to bring to your surf vacation: swimwear, beach bag and towel, sunscreen & zinc, hat, reusable water bottle, surf poncho (it's not a must-have but it definitely makes changing clothes at the beach much easier.
If you don't want to continue learning to surf, do yoga or skate for your own reasons, unfortunately, we will not be able to refund the training cost.
Should there be a vacancy, we will announce it on our channels. As for working with us, we do not have any open positions at this moment.
If Polina is not in present during the whole program, she will at some point come to the surfhouse to introduce herself, make sure everything runs smoothly and of course to meet our dearest guests

Yes, if there's availability for the new dates and if we manage to sell your spot. In some cases, we charge a small fee. But only in extraordinary cases, like last-minute changes or changing to next year.
We request an advance payment of 50% at the moment of your booking. The remaining balance is be paid on your arrival day at the surf house.
We wouldn't recommend it, but it is possible if that's more of your vibe! Just stay as close to the camp as possible. Please contact us for individual package pricing
According to ConsciSea policy, no refunds are available due to commitments made to the camp's service providers. If you don't want to continue learning to surf, yoga or skate for your own reasons, unfortunately, we will not be able to refund your training cost.
Yes, we do offer discounts! If you bring a friend, you get an extra 5 % off. We also have a special offer for whom join us for the second and third time.
Accommodation
Our surf house is located in Peniche, the most consistent surf area in Portugal, 8 min drive from several waves for all levels.
Group transfers to/from the Lisbon airport and to all activities are included in the package. There are 2 transfers scheduled on the arrival day (the first transfer leaves the airport around 15.00, the second one – around 18.00.). On the departure day, we leave the surf house at 10 am.
If you prefer to arrive/leave at a different time, we can organize a private transfer for you help to book a taxi.

Check-in 4-10 pm / Check-out 10 am. But you can leave your luggage with us if you arrive earlier or leave later and hang out by the pool or the lounge area.
Yes, we provide bed linens as well as bathroom towels.
All our meal are vegetarian made by a professional Italian chef. We do our best to satisfy our vegan guests, as well as those will special diets (lactose or gluten-free). Please let us know about your dietary requirements in advance.

Surf/skate lessons
Portugal is a year-round destination for surfers. If you are a beginner surfer, then the best time of year to visit Peniche is between April and November. This is when the waves are at their most consistent. The water temperature is also much warmer during this time of year, which makes it more pleasant to surf for extended periods of time.
April-June, September-November is around 16-17ºC (3/2 wetsuit) and in July and August it can get as high as 20ºC (maybe just board shorts!).
All equipment (surfboard, wetsuit, skate, yoga mats) is included in your package, but you're also welcome to use your own equipment if you'd like.
The surf groups have a maximum capacity of 5 students per instructor. We'll divide the groups according to your experience level to ensure you have the best learning progress.
Depending on your level of energy or motivation, you can choose to join the surf/yoga/skate lesson or not. You can enjoy the beach and the sun, explore the town or just relax by the pool. If you don't want to continue learning to surf, yoga or skate for your own reasons, unfortunately, we will not be able to adjust the package price.
Yes, we can arrange private lessons, but only if we have one of the teachers available.
That almost never happens but we are prepared just in case! We always check the surf forecast in advance and adjust our schedule if needed .
As we provide all the surf gear, all you need to bring is a swimwear:
for ladies - plain one piece or 2 piece swimsuit without underwire /
shorts for men or speedos (even better), a towel, sunscreen, water & flip flops.
